New this year we will be assigning stalling at a first come, first serve basis. This is for bio-security measure, so we can account for where people are located in the pavilion. I just wanted to take a minute to address any questions you might have.
- When you arrive at the Alliant Energy Center Grounds, you will be entering through the gate off of Rimrock Road. You will pass the “toll booths” (parking is free for those attending BKOC), and there will be a BKOC volunteer at the next intersection before the barns.
- Out-of-state animals: At this time, health papers will be checked for out of state animals if they have an RFID tag. If not, the trailers will be directed to a central unloading area to check tag numbers and general health. Any discrepancies will determined by the on call veterinarian. If animals arrive during unconventional hours and there is a potential issue, that animal will be held on the trailer until the vet arrives.
- In-state animals: Animals will be observed for general health.Any discrepancies will determined by the on call veterinarian. If animals arrive during unconventional hours and there is a potential issue, that animal will be held on the trailer until the vet arrives.
- Trailers will then be directed to the pavilion with a door number where they will be able to unload and set up. You will be informed as to how much space you get and where that space will be.
Q: What if I am stalling with another family or we have more than one trailer?
A: Not a problem! We just ask that the first trailer arriving knows the total number of animals in the string and we will record family names and check them off as they come in.
Q: Can I bring just tack in first?
A: Absolutely. Please just tell us the total number of animals in your string at that time, so we can get you a spot.
