The University of Wisconsin-Madison Saddle & Sirloin Club is pleased to announce that the 19th Annual Badger Kick-Off Classic Open Prospect Steer & Heifer Show (BKOC) will be held Dec. 6-8 at the Wisconsin State Fair Park in West Allis, Wis.
BKOC is one of the upper Midwest’s largest prospect beef cattle shows, drawing nearly 800 head from more than a dozen states in 2012. It is presented and organized entirely by the UW-Madison Saddle & Sirloin Club, a student organization at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
“We are excited to welcome nearly 800 of the Midwest’s best prospects to Wisconsin for this weekend,” said Taylor Fritsch, the show’s chair. “The hard work of our students and continued support of our sponsors have helped BKOC mature into a leading destination for prospect cattle.”
Badger Kick-Off will again include a market cattle and breeding female show, as well as free junior showmanship classes. Cash payouts, Andis clippers and other awards are presented to top animals.
A full schedule, entry forms, rules and health regulations are available on the show website, www.badgerkickoff.net. While pre-entry has closed, walk-in entries are accepted. Questions and other inquiries can be directed to Taylor Fritsch at 608.341.7240 or via email at email@example.com.
Badger Kick-Off Classic would not be possible without the support of more than fifty sponsors. Major sponsors of this year’s show include LubriSyn LVS Livestock and Max-Strum, Andis, Bob May Show Steers, Milwaukee Stockyards and The Showtimes Junior Livestock Magazine.
Saddle & Sirloin is a student organization at UW-Madison for students interested in beef, sheep, swine and equine. Members enjoy educational outreach, service activities and social events.
